Montpelier Children’s House is a small early childhood education program serving ages 2-5. Located at 24 Mountainview Street, we provide an inquiry-driven program that is grounded in the belief that children are curious, engaged learners who learn best through hands-on direct experiences and that play is the foundation for authentic learning. We give priority to the development of social and emotional skills and fostering the growth of strong and meaningful relationships between children and caregivers. We provide a structured, high-quality prepared learning environment in which the children function independently and highly qualified teachers that are knowledgeable in and committed to play-based, responsive early education.

ENROLLMENT UPDATE (2/24/25): We are currently enrolling for Summer and Fall of 2025 and are working to be in touch with families currently on our waiting list. If you are on our waiting list you can expect to hear from us by the end of February. Unfortunately, we do not expect to have spots for all families on our waiting list for the 2025-26 school year.

We DO have a few unfilled SUMMER START openings for in our Pre-K4 group. This would be for children who are 4 by 9/1/25. These spots would start at the beginning of the summer and continue through the school year. Please be in touch if you are interested in enrollment for this group.
